    Human Resources: "Remote work" has attracted 50,000 job seekers since its launch, most of them are women


    The program reduces immigration to large areas and saves 25% on institutions
    The program does not require conditions other than documenting contracts in the "gateway" and social insurance
    The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development confirmed that opening the field for remote work supports the options of resettlement confirmed by the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as it attracts women and people with disabilities as well as job seekers, and the program includes economic results for the benefit of enterprises, in addition to other public benefits, especially after the decision to limit the use from the program on the Saudis, which will be implemented in early August.
    This came during a workshop organized by the Asharqia Chamber yesterday, Monday 14/6/2021, presented by the Program Director at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development / Sahar Al-Dayl, who confirmed that remote work, which is one of the localization initiatives stipulated in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, is no different from the traditional work model. Ordinary in anything, except for the worksite, as the program can be applied to any profession that can be done remotely, and is subject to the company’s decision and agreement with the worker or job seeker, all provided that work contracts are documented in the remote work portal, and registration in the institution General Social Security, and adherence to contract clauses such as minimum wages, and so on.

    In this regard, Al-Dayl said that the system did not provide for specific jobs, but that any job could be transferred from the traditional work pattern to remote work, and vice versa and the important thing in this regard is to abide by the decisions of the Ministry that guarantee the rights of the worker and the rights of the employer, stipulated in contracts Which are automatically registered and documented on the labor portal through several companies providing this service.

    She mentioned that there are many advantages of the remote work pattern, perhaps the most prominent of which is the provision of many and varied job opportunities for beneficiaries according to flexibility in time and place, and thus an additional solution to the issue of Emiratisation in the private sector, in addition to the other general benefits of benefiting from national competencies with their different geographical locations, Contribute to reducing immigration to cities and large areas, all with conditions and a cost that is about 25% lower on establishments.
    She said that the program has so far attracted 50,000 job applicants (48,000 of whom are female), for several jobs, most notably marketing, customer service, debt collection, and administrative assistant. Many jobs are flexible and can be transferred to remote work, whether administrative or technical. Such as programming, technical support, and so on. It is also possible to transform the entire institution to work remotely, provided that contracts are available, registration in social insurance, and subject to supervision. It is expected that the number of Saudis will increase in the coming months, as the use of this model will be limited to Saudis at the beginning of next August.​
    Al-Dayl confirmed that the support of the concerned authorities for Emiratisation in the private sector under remote work is the same, and does not differ from business support in the normal, traditional way, as there are several programs at the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf) that serve this approach.
